JANUARY 12th 2018
We almost decided to cancel Friday due to the ice storm that was predicted but we are glad we didn't. The day of the show we had three bands cancel which is definitely a record for us and the weather was...unpleasant, but despite that it ended up being a pretty magical night. W.D. Benjamin stepped up to replace the opening act with a stellar folk-blues set and a show at Casa Del Crass down the road dissolved sending two touring acts our way flushing out the line-up: Mineral Girls from North Carolina and Cheem from Connecticut. Many braved the storm so the audience was only slightly smaller than usual and we all really enjoyed these two acts who ended up fitting in with the others on the bill nicely. Next up was The Latin for Maple featuring Jeffery and Althea of the Nest another house show venue in town, their low-fi set was winter themed and adorably sad. Daisily closed out the night with a startlingly original mix of readings, hip hop and guitar.
Here's some video clips from the show if you missed it:
